Exerceu as fun\u00e7\u00f5es de padre cat\u00f3lico, estando atualmente secularizado.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 mestre em Teologia Sistem\u00e1tica, investigador no Centro de Estudos de Hist\u00f3ria da Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa, militante do Partido Comunista Portugu\u00eas desde 1997, sendo membro do Comit\u00e9 Central, tendo sido deputado e \u00e9 coordenador da CDU \u2013 Coliga\u00e7\u00e3o Democr\u00e1tica Unit\u00e1ria na Regi\u00e3o Aut\u00f3noma da Madeira.
